The foliage around here is spectacular -- tons of red, orange, and yellow leaves mixed among some evergreens that are still retaining their green.

We also saw a bunch of people working on the dome of Capitol building -- dangerous!

Once we got to the science fair, we wandered around a whole bunch of interesting booths, but we found that most of the activities were geared toward young kids. We did see a scientist-like polar bear and a dog statue that was wearing a camera. This photo puppy took a picture of me as I was taking a picture of him!


We wandered back home after that and later in the evening, we were treated to a beautiful sunset behind the Washington Monument -- I took this picture from our bathroom window!
