Magic Kingdom - part 2

We took a break at the hotel for a couple of hours and returned to the Magic Kingdom ~ 6pm. This time, we took the ferryboat to the park instead of the monorail. The boat ride was nice because we were able to see a lot of the big Disney resorts (Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and the Contemporary).

The park was a lot less crowded now and we got some snacks on Main Street: I had a frozen banana and Carlos had an orange. We rode the train from the main entrance to Frontierland where we rode Splash Mountain (and got soaking wet!).

From there, we walked to Adventureland and rode Pirates of the Caribbean (for the third time now!). We walked back to Main Street and strolled through the souvenir shops where I got a smashed penny album and bought some presents for my family.

We walked to Tomorrowland where I had a sweet cream cheese-filled pretzel at the Lunching Pad (I have to have a pretzel in every park!) and we sat and relaxed for a little bit. We rode the Peoplemover followed by the Carousel of Progress.

By now, a parade had begun that forced us to take a very circuitous route to Adventureland so that we could ride the Jungle Cruise at night. By now it was ~ 10pm so we headed to Main Street, stopping near the entrance to Adventureland, to watch the fireworks show (Wishes). The fireworks were nice, but the amount of people here was just too much. We followed the throngs back to the entrance where we took the monorail back to the Transportation and Ticket Center. The crowds were bad so we didn’t make it back to the hotel until ~ 11:30pm! Next park: Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM Studios).
