My mom's friend Phyllis and her boyfriend Bill left La Selva this morning after spending 2 days here. We had a really good time and saw lots of interesting things on our hikes and tours! Here is a list of some of the highlights:
- Masked Tityra (a red-faced bird)
- Pied Puffbird
- Great Tinamou (big grey bird that lives on the forest floor)
- Fasciated Antshrike (in a nest!)
- Agouti
- Peccaries (about 20)
- Saccopteryx bilineata (bats roosting in a tree)
- Summer Tanager
- Violaceous Trogon
